Zones of Barcelona: Vila Olimpica-Diagonal Mar

Barcelona is characteristically a city open to the sea which makes it very attractive; there are plenty of high standing tourist apartments along its 4 kilometres of golden sand beaches.

This zone includes several different districts of Barcelona that have different personalities, but they share the same closeness to the sea and the same tranquillity. All are popular and lively neighbourhoods.

The Vila Olimpica, born from the 92 Olympics in Barcelona, is situated by the sea. In this area you can find the marina, the beach and a multitude of bars, restaurants, “chiringuitos” (open bars on the beach) and discotheques. Renting an apartment here is perfect to be in direct contact with the sea. The visitor can also go to the mall Icaria Yelmo that hosts a multiplex where movies are in original version.

In the Diagonal Mar-Poblenou zone the old factories and the famous Rambla intermingle with modern buildings with beautiful tourist apartments. It also offers and easy access to the beach for the visitor can choose walking to it or taking a bus within minutes to reach a more secluded place.

All kind of activities can be enjoyed on the beach, each section has its own quirks and fun: for families, young people, etc.

Zones of Barcelona: Sants-Plaza España-Fira

The Sants-Plaza España-Fira zone is perfect for those who want to rent an apartment close to Barcelona’s most important train station (Barcelona Sants, where the airport train as well as the main national and international lines arrives) or wish to be near the Fira de Barcelona.

It’s a popular but very lively neighbourhood, and it’s well connected to the rest of the city thanks to excellent public transports like metro or bus. The main street, Sants, is full of boutiques, shops, supermarkets, restaurants and different bars.

On Plaza España stands the Fira de Barcelona, the nerve centre of fairs, congresses and exhibitions in Barcelona. Additionally the visitor can observe the beautiful Fuente Mágica de Montjuïc, a big fountain that proposes a breathtaking pyromusical show from Thursday to Sunday, 10PM-00AM. Not far the visitor has the possibility to take a stroll and admire what used to be an arena for corridas and has been converted into a mall with lots of shops, Las Arenas.

Zones of Barcelona: Sagrada Familia
