The Picasso Museum in Barcelona opened in 1963. There are more than 3.800 works by Pablo Ruiz Picasso that forms the museum’s permanent collection. It also offers a large number of temporary exhibitions that pay tribute to the artist.

CATALAN NATIONAL ART MUSEUM - MNAC
The Catalan National Art Museum hosts the best Romanesque art collection in the world. In the endless artistic collection of this museum you will also find works from Gothic, Renaissance and Baroque. MNAC puts together lots of arts: photography, numismatics, sculpture, painting and prints that make up the history of Catalan and international art.

BARCELONA MUSEUM OF CONTEMPORARY ART – MACBA
MACBA is one of the main centers of contemporary art in Barcelona. It is located in Raval district in an innovative building designed by the American architect Richard Meier. MACBA was conceived as a space to generate debate about art and culture, with educational vocation, a great variety of views and a strong commitment to preserve and protect the cultural heritage. With all this, MACBA fulfills his will of putting Barcelona in a leading position in the contemporary art worldwide.

JOAN MIRÓ FOUNDATION
The Joan Miró Foundation opened to public for the first time in 1975. It is the main space in Barcelona about the versatile artist Joan Miró. The Foundation has been declared museum of national interest due to the great importance of its collection, which, apart from Miró’s works, contains also a set of contemporary works of other artists, constituted as a tribute to Miró after his dead.
The Foundation owes its origins to the first great exhibition about Joan Miró in Barcelona, in 1968, and it was created by the artist to show and preserve his work. Currently, the patrimony of the Foundation includes 14.000 pieces made by Miró, including paintings, sculptures, ceramics and drawings.
